Known as the “Google of Sugar Land,” HCSS was founded in 1986 and has been a leader in developing and providing innovative software solutions for construction companies. The company has a significant tech presence and is recognized as a pioneer in the industry. HCSS is also a leader in wellness, making it a highly attractive anchor for Sugar Land’s steadily expanding tech community.
The Location Project
Since 2009, HCSS corporate headquarters has been located on its 12-acre campus in Sugar Land. A second location was added to the campus in 2015 to accommodate the company’s growth and expanding customer base. The new Google-inspired office was designed by Studio RED architects as a collaborative work environment and brought with it an additional 15,400 square foot of workspace. The building’s quirky and colorful office features an adult slide and climbing cargo net and is specifically designed to provide HCSS software developers with an enjoyable work environment. Its many amenities also attract and retain new talent to Sugar Land.
Establishing Roots for Future Growth
With the constant expansion of its products and customer base, HCSS has grown to over 300 employees. A third expansion is currently underway and targeted for completion in summer 2020. The new building will bring approximately 200 new jobs and $12 million capital investment in real and personal property to Sugar Land. The expansion will also accommodate the city’s rapidly growing business footprint while simultaneously improving quality of life for a growing population and workforce. HCSS has plans to continue its expansion in Sugar Land and eventually grow to a five-building campus.
