Sugar Land has maintained growth, and even excelled, during a down economy.

The office market of more than 5 million square feet remains strong with growing amounts of space being developed in all classes of buildings. Over the past 10 years, developers added 4 million square feet of industrial space, bringing the total to 12 million. Currently, the eight office buildings proposed and in the works constitute 21 million combined square feet of corporate space.

New corporate and retail developments continue to expand and spring up. More than 300,000 square feet of retail development and more than 300,000 square feet of new retail space were announced or completed.
